TXStorm.US is a site for those who want to keep up to date on current weather as well as weather forecasts. When the threat of severe weather arrives, this site is kept up to date to insure you that you will have all the current information to prepare for such an event.

Just like most of the people on Earth, I too have always had a fascination with weather. I just did somethig a little different to learn a bit more. I decided to go after those Supercells and other nasty stuff! I started my storm chasing hobby back in the 90's, and with more hours of advanced training than I care to think about, consider myself an advanced chaser today. I have over 100 hours of formal training and education in weather, along with attending the "School of Hard Knocks", if you will!

Unfortunately, there are many out there who have taken a three hour SKYWARN class, and hit the roads when bad weather threatened. This puts them in a very dangerous position. It takes much more than a three or four hour class to make one ready to get out in the field and go after the cells, take reports, and report back to the National Weather Service with their findings. I recommend you read up and learn as much as possible, go out with a CERTIFIED storm chaser, up to and including a trip with a chase tour. Yep, they're expensive, but you would rather do all this than find yourself stuck in the bearcage without a clue as to knowing how to escape! Put it this way; don't put yourself in that position!

I developed the name TXStorm back in 2002, when I decided there were too many websites devoted to weather, but not to the average person wanting to learn and understand all those confusing terms and symbols. So, I took about a year working on this problem and came up with TXStorm. I took all the scientific terminology and did the best I could to get it in laymans terms.

Over the years, I visited nearly 1000 websites for weather. I looked at the content, and with permisson, took bits and pieces from those sites and made this one. It started out as TXStorm.Net. Well, some hacker nailed the server I was using, and poof...there went to site! Well, I'm back, with much better security, and in time with a lot of prayer, will have the best website devoted to weather around. It's not going to happen overnight, so please be patient. In the meantime, if you run across a site you like, or you have something you wish to donate to the site, by all means, send it on! CLICK HERE

Now, I'm not going to load the site with a million and one links, as I don't have that much time or desire to look at all them! I bet you don't either! But, I will have plenty sites linked, and I will make sure all content is gone through with a fine toothed comb, checking for content. I am making this site for the young audience as well, and I would not want my kids getting linked to some site that is inappropriate. So, with that said, I want to thank you for visiting the site, and like I said earlier, please keep coming back!
